This Silly Venture took place in a small but lovely new venue in the "Polish Baltic Philharmonic", close to the center of Gdansk.
The room was too small for all visitors, especially during the competitions. But the beamer was good, and there was a good restaurant nearby. A surprising number of new people showed up, and I had a great time talking to them. Also, some old friends who had been absent for quite some time were there, for example, 505 (Nils Feske). On Friday, we went to the usual club where gwEm played a concert while we were having drinks and chatting. I remember talking to Adam, Gilmore, and his friends Niles and Chris. A special surprise was when Grey called me on Saturday and asked if I could interview Adam Gilmore because Wieczor had spent the whole night recording the entries for the competitions. So I got up from bed, sat down, created a list of questions, went for breakfast, and then went to the party where the interview took place. The interview is available on YouTube. The compos went very smoothly and had a lot of enjoyable releases. I didn't like the "one entry only - non competition" compos. In my opinion, they should not be presented, lead to negative comments, and unnecessarily drag the show. There were plenty of entries in compos with enough entries.

I participated in the Atari 8-bit demo competition with "Pixel Dreams Redux", my demake/parody of Pixel Dreams for the Atari STE. It features 16 kHz samples using COVOX (8-bit) or POKEY (4-bit). You can find the details and downloads on this page.
